The Coast Village Classic Car Show in Montecito, CA took place on Sunday September 2nd, from 8am to 3pm. All proceeds from the Car Show directly benefited Special Olympics Santa Barbara sports training and competition programs.
Special Olympics programs empower 425 children, teens, and adults with intellectual disabilities from Carpinteria and Montecito to Santa Barbara and Goleta. Year-round, the athletes experience the joy and life-changing power of sports. They become more physically fit and live happier, healthier, and longer lives.
The event was a success thanks to the presenting sponsor, the Armand Hammer Foundation and DCH Lexus of Santa Barbara, the media event sponsor; as well as the partners, organizations, companies, and kind hearts who extended their help in various ways. Making a lasting impact on the lives of special athletes and their hard-working families has been made more vibrant and fruitful.
The show featured spectacular cars from Michael Hammer’s collection, along with the rarest classic cars of Santa Barbara and Montecito County. All proceeds of The Car Show benefits the Special Olympics Santa Barbara and also recognizes 60 years of the corvette showcasing a number of sensational corvette displays.
Santa Barbara movers Hazelwood Allied attended the event over the weekend to assist with the setup and break down the booths, and provided a moving truck to assist with transporting show equipment. The moving company coordinated with event staff to organize the registered classic cars and trucks along the 1100-1200 Coast Village Road parking lots as well as adjacent parking areas.
