Hazelwood Allied was professional from the first visit. Their estimator Len took his time, asked lots of questions, and delivered a quote that ultimately slotted in the middle of two others. This move involved more than a thousand books out of a cottage on a hillside with a horribly steep driveway. On the first of two days of this process, the three-person crew of Noah, Jaime, and Uri spent most of the day packing books and other personal detritus and loading one of the two small trucks they sent to split the load. Day done after seven hours, and plans were for another early start. Day two, the same three gents packed everything that had remained overnight, and they were loaded inside two hours. After a short drive to the new place – on level grade(!), the guys made me feel like an air traffic controller with three heavily loaded dollies rolling in, unloading, and in some cases unpacking about every three or four minutes. They had started the second day around seven and they finished the job, signed, sealed, paid, before noon. This crew was terrific; they worked hard and fast, yet with great care. Because this move interrupted an on-going project, the crew devised a labelling system to prioritize my unpacking. The final body count was 85 boxes of books, 12 hours all in, and a final invoice that came in a bit better than 15% below the estimate. Happy? Oh yeah!
